Mollie's 80th Birthday

Sim and Sandy booked me for Sim's mum Mollie's 80th Birthday on Saturday. There were around 35 people at the party. All Mollie's family and friends. I had a great time with everyone and the magic went really well, Molly even managed to magic up a bottle of wine. She has promised to book me again for her 90th.

Louise and Michael's Wedding

I travelled to The Beech Hill Hotel in Windermere for Louise and Michael's wedding party on Friday 18th. I was there from around 7-45 and although I was supposed to finish at 10pm, it must have been a while later by the time I managed to get away. What an enthusiastic lot of friends you two have! I enjoyed myself tremendously.

GTP at The Langdale

Jan booked me for GTP's Christmas / New Year party at The Langdale Estate in Ambleside. There were around 60 people all ready to party. I was performing Close-up Magic around the tables during dinner. I had a wonderful time with everyone, thank you I hope to see you all again soon.

New Year at Castle Green Hotel

Nicola booked me for the New Year party at Castle Green, Kendal. This was a reapeat booking from last year. I was performing Close-Up magic while the guests enjoyed afternoon tea. (Very nice it was too) I was their for over three hours with the guests and some people were lingering over their tea to give me time to get to see them. Thank you everyone, I had a great time.

New Years Eve, eve! at The Waterhead Hotel

This was my second visit to The Waterhead this Christmas. This time it was for their New Year house party. As before, I had a wonderful time performing magic for all the guests during dinner, and what a dinner it looked amazing. Christmas Eve at The Waterhead

One of my regular bookings is at The Waterhead Hotel in Ambleside. They have been kind enough to ask me to entertain their guests for a few years now. This year as always, I had a brilliant time. I was there for three hours while everyone was having dinner. Thank you everone I hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as I did.

Solar Christmas Special

Asher booked me for a Solar Christmas Special event last night. It was a brilliant dance night with lots of D.J's in aid of Stepping Stones a Nigerian school project. It was held at Toast a nightclub in Lancaster from 9 pm to 6 am. I was there for the earlier part of the night (I need my sleep these days!) Great audience, thanks guys.

Mark and Naomi's Wedding

Mark and Naomi invited me to their wedding party at Gibbon Bridge Hotel on Saturday. There must have been around 150 people at the reception and the dining room looked great.

I had a wonderful time entertaining everyone while the photos were being taken and I managed to slip in a surprise or two for Mark and Naomi as well. Thanks everyone.

Party at The Low Wood

I was asked to entertain 100 people from the company Hilti at a medieval party at The Low Wood Hotel at Lake Windermere. I was dressed in full medieval magicians costume complete with yellow tights! (nice). I was only there for an hour but had a terrific time with everyone, the staff of Hilti were really enthusiastic about the magic.

Rotary Christmas Party

The Rotary Club from Lancaster booked me to perform 'Illusions of the Mind' at their Christmas party last night. It was held at The Elm's Hotel in Morecambe and I was invited for the meal :-). The ladies from The Inner Wheel were also there and I think everyone had a wonderful time, I certainly did.

I was asked to perform at the M.S. Society Christmas party again this year. It was held at The Elm's Hotel and there were lots of families present. It was great to meet everyone I know from previous years and some new faces too.

As Christmas approaches, lots of people are going out for dinner and having parties. Can I recommend Crow's restaurant in Lancaster. Tex-Mex in style and some Saturday evenings they have a terrific magician (Ahem!) performing Close-Up Magic at your table.

Family History Group

Pat booked me for The Family History Group's Christmas party this week. It was held at the Greave's Hotel in Lancaster for around 60 people. I was there for around 1 1/2 hours and had a great time with everyone. Lots of games and Magic.

Cartmel at Christmas

Cartmel College had their Christmas party at Park Hall in Cheshire this year. A change from the Winter Gardens at Blackpool. I didn't try the food :-( but I did get to perform for Cartmel again :-)

As always, Cartmel were a great audience, I certainly had a great time. I look forward to seeing you all again.

Grisedale Dinner

Wow! what a busy summer. I'm sorry if I've not been posting on here for a while but I've been travelling all over the country. However----

I was at Grisedale College's Fresher's Dinner last night. There were around 300 students at Lancaster University's Great Hall. I had a really busy night and stayed much longer than I thought I was going to in order to see as many people as I could. I hope you had a great night Grisedale, hope to see you all again soon.

Student Friendly Awards

I was working last night at the Student Friendly Awards night. It is an event held every year by the Student Union to promote and thank local businesses for help to students at Lancaster Uni' over the year.

I performed Close-up magic during the reception and after the awards had taken place, I performed Illusions of the Mind, my mind reading act.

I had a terrific audience thank you. Nice write-up in the programme too!!

Louise and Danny's Wedding

I was asked to perform magic at the wedding of Louise and Danny at The Beech Hill Hotel Windermere. It was the first time I have been to The Beech Hill, a great hotel right on the shores of the lake. Wonderful views over the lake and towards the fells.

There were around 80 to 100 people there, some of Danny's friends and family had made the trip from Ireland.

Gerry's wife Sylvia booked me for his 80th birthday party. The event was held at Stonecross Manor Hotel in Kendal.

I had a great time with everyone as I was booked to perform close-up magic during the meal and Illusions of the mind afterwards.

Stonecross Manor is a really nice place for a party, all the staff are friendly and helpful.

Magic at Hoghton Tower

I was booked for a party at Hoghton Tower on Tuesday. There were a number of people on a coach trip touring the north west and having dinner there.

Hoghton Tower is the place where James the first when going round England stayed and knighted a roast of beef which is why we now call it a sir-loin. That must have been some party he had!

I was dressed in medieval costume, yellow tights again...

I was only there an hour but had a great time with everyone.

Lauren and Amy's 21st

Jonathan invited me to perform at Lauren and Amy's 21st party in Liverpool last night.

I was a total surprise for everyone, I think Jonathan had kept the secret brilliantly.

The evening started with some close up magic during the meal and then moved into my 'Illusions of the Mind' act afterwards. I had some wonderful reactions to the act and I'm sure that everyone had a great time.

Reunion at Lindeth Howe

Mike booked me for his annual reunion party on Saturday at Lindeth Howe Hotel in the Lakes.

I was performing close up magic for around 40 people during the meal and my 'Illusions of the Mind' act afterwards.
I'm sure everyone had a great time, I certainly did.

This was the first time that I had visited Lindeth Howe. It is a really nice hotel hidden away in Bowness. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Anne and Brian's Wedding

Anne and Brian booked me to entertain their guests at Wrightington Hall Country Club last Sunday. There were around 100 people and although the weather might have been a little kinder, we all had a great time. The magic took place while the photographer did his stuff and continued during the first part of the meal. The carvery was wonderful, just the thing for a hungry magician!
