Raymond and Sheila's Anniversary

Raymond and Sheila booked me for their golden wedding anniversary party at The Stonegate Manor Hotel in Kendal. The Stonegate Manor is a very friendly place, the staff seem as if nothing is too much trouble for them.
Raymond and Sheila's friends (after overcoming their surprise) were really keen to involve themselves in the magic. I had a wonderful evening, thank you everyone.

Paul and Catherine's Wedding

Paul and Catherine invited me to perform at their wedding reception at The Elms Hotel in Morecambe. I was performing close up magic at their evening reception. Paul and Catherine have a great group of friends who made me feel very welcome. Thanks guys, look forward to seeing you again.

Kate and David's Wedding

Kate and David held their wedding reception at the Old England Hotel in Bowness. We had a great time and even a little rain did nothing to stop everyone enjoying themselves. I was booked to entertain Kate and David's guests as the photo's were being taken and before the meal. Everyone seemed a little surprised to see a magician at the wedding but soon got to grips with the idea and had a great time.

Cartmel's Grad' Buffet

I was performing at Cartmel's Grad' Buffet on Wednesday. There were a lot of parents and relatives here to see the graduates. (Congratulations Everyone) :-)

A lot of the students had seen me before, so were keen to let their friends and relatives see some magic. Everyone was treated to a wonderful buffet and best of all, Sue was kind enough to offer some to the starving magician. Thanks Sue.

Seamus and Fiona's Wedding

It does seem to be the wedding season at the moment. I thought that I had made a mistake when I arrived at the wonderful Grange Hotel on Saturday. The welcome board in the porch said Welcome to Fiona and Stephens Wedding. I was sure that the name was Seamus. All was well however, when I found out that Fiona calls her husband Seamus but some people know him as Stephen. 'phew!
The Grange Hotel is an extremely handsome building which is great for 'photos. I had a wonderful time with Semus and Fiona's friends before the meal. I am only sorry that I didn't have time to see much of Seamus and Fiona as they were very busy with the photographer while I was there. Look forward to seeing you again sometime.

Bill and Julie's Wedding

Another visit to the spectacular Leighton Hall near Carnforth for Bill and Julie's wedding party. What a terrific afternoon. Everyone outside, enjoying the sunshine and magic on the lawns and around the house. A wonderful barbeque was prepared by the chef at Leighton Hall on the front lawn. Bill and Julie very kindly asked me to stay to sample the food! It's a tough job being a magician! Thanks Bill and Julie for a great afternoon.

Stephen and Andrea's Christening

Well not really their christening but the christening of their son. The event was held in a marquee on the lawn with all their friends and families. The weather was amazing, everone had a brilliant time with chatting, drinking and eating the wonderful buffet. The magic went down really well as most people hadn't seen a magician so close before. Thanks Andrea and Stephen, hope to see you all again soon.

Charlotte and John's Wedding

Mrs Bailey, Charlottes mum, invited me to their wedding on Saturday at The Burnside Hotel at Bowness in Windermere. Charlotte's face was a picture as she had no idea at all that I had been invited. I had a great time with Charlotte and John's families, they are a real fun group of people. Hope to see you again soon.

Birmingham

I was booked for a corporate event near Birmingham on Friday. The client was a large furnishing group of companies. This was their annual awards dinner. Around 200 people were invited to the De-Vere Belfrey Hotel for the event. The hotel is very elegant and has a superb golf course. The evening started with a reception on the veranda and moved inside for dinner around 8 pm. I didn't know before I arrived at the hotel but I was working with two other magicians, we shared the tables between us and had a brilliant evening.

Cartmel College

Thursday night was Cartmel's Summer Extrav'. I have been to a number of events for Cartmel. They always have a terrific time.
I seem to have gained quite a following from some of the staff as well as the students. I didn't have a chance to go into the building on Thusday night before I was surrounded by people demanding to see some magic, and I was kept busy the whole time I was there. Another brilliant night Cartmel, thankyou.

Furness College

Wow! Furness College had their Summer Extrav' on Wednesday night. What a brilliant night. Everyone was really up for the magic and even though I turned up early, I was was still having difficulty getting away half an hour after I should have finished. I had a great night, thanks everyone.

Lancaster Golf Club

There has been the Pro-Am Golf Tournament at Lancaster Golf Club this week.
This was a huge event with golfers from all over the region attending. I was asked to provide entertainment for everyone as they came in from the course and sat chatting and enjoying the wonderful buffet meal. It was certainly a surprise for many, as a magician at the event was something quite unusual. Everyone had a great time though with the golf as well as the magic!
